The Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC)

For the purposes of this License Agreement, the Licensee’s Approved Uses shall include:

A.  During the term from commencement of this Agreement until August 31, 2016:

  • to develop information technology and business processes to enable the AFMC to employ MINC numbers for database management purposes;
  • to collect MINC numbers, from MINC or otherwise, for testing purposes;
  • to exchange physician information including MINC numbers with MINC or any Prime or other Licensed User, for testing purposes.

B.  For the period from September 1, 2016 onward:

  • to facilitate the compilation or exchange of information about current or former undergraduate, postgraduate students, trainees or fellows or applicants between the Licensee and any Prime User and/or other Licensed Users;
  • for the purpose of identifying any of the above to facilitate the Licensee’s internal business processes or approved research;
  • for the purpose of identifying any of the above to facilitate the provision of services by the Licensee to those individuals or the AFMC’s member Faculties of Medicine; or
  • to facilitate any other administrative, educational or research activities (but no commercial activities) which are consistent with the Licensee’s mandate.
